A placed field's outline tells you how it behaves, before you click it.
Solid, in the role's colour — the field stands alone. Required means required, and nothing else decides for it.
Dashed — something else governs it. The colour says what:
- Violet — a pick-one group. Only one option gets initialed.
- Sky — an option group. The whole block is a single step when signing.
- Amber — driven by another field. It applies only when that field is completed (or left blank).
Select any member of a group and its siblings glow, so you can see the whole set without dragging a marquee around to find out what moves with it.
Radio buttons are deliberately left with their original look — their grouping predates this and restyling them would carry no new information.
